I said how can it be illegal to ship perfume?. I think because I sell a lot so everyone at the Post Office knows me, they don't bother to ask me those questions .
Your Postal Clerk has misinformed you. From the USPS website: Perfume − Perfume containing alcohol is prohibited on air transportation, and can only be shipped domestically via surface transportation. Perfume containing alcohol is prohibited in international shipments.
I have had extensive conversations with general customer service at USPS. You can ship perfume via air, i.e. priority mail, but, there are certain restrictions that apply. The people selling on eBay and shipping for internationally for 15.00 or so, are doing so by Global Priority and it is illegal.
I have ordered a few bottles of perfume recently, and it was always sent by USPS. It was sent in different ways, either USPS Standard Shipping, or by USPS .
Has anybody on here shipped fragrances thru usps priority mail and made it to there destination without any issues.
